Just got a phone call from UT - I'm admitted!! (And absolutely thrilled). They said they will send the official email notification in a week. I will likely send in my deposit following one final conversation w/ the wifey (AKA the boss).

In too! I am so happy right now! What an amazing day.

USAFinDenver, did they tell you anything about scholarships? UT is my absolute first choice but some $ would be great.

I am so anxious, I cant type. I had applied in Round 1. and received an email today -

"There has been an update in your Texas MBA Application status. Please call me during office hours Central Standard Time (CST)"

What does this mean? unfortunately, I cant call now.

I received the same email like fitzmanon and riteshisthebest and went on to check my application status. The application status is " In review" and I can't call the admissions office now. Is the application status the same for people who have received the admit call too ?

Same for me. I checked my status and it still said "in review". Then I called the admission office and received the good news. I don't want to give you false hopes but ... :)

:) Not for sure obviously. I just had quite high hopes and was told by a few people that my stats would position me well to get a scholarship. I have a high GRE score, high TOELF score, what I believe to be very strong work experience decent GPA from a very reputable university and I am from an under-represented country.

Don't get me wrong I am very happy about getting accepted. I'll just have to take a massive loan and hope that the financial aid office is supportive.

Cannot wait to visit again soon!

I am in too :) Mccombs is my dream school.
Got a mail yesterday asking me to call the admissions office.
Called and given the good news. :)
No scholarships though :( I was very hopeful of getting a scholarship.

I have received an email from with federal loan and other loan links. Following previous year posts, it seems that news on scholarship will follow at a later stage. We are yet to receive for formal notification on admission. Let's wait and see.

We've had roughly 8-10 people on this site receive their acceptance so far, so I thought it'd be a good time to break down the anonymity a bit. I created a LinkedIn group for the incoming class of 2015. I think a few people already mentioned they're 100% on attending McCombs now that they have an offer, but the group can also serve as a resting spot for people still weighing their final decision. If you're uncomfortable w/ other schools potentially seeing your group membership, you can hide the group visibility under your account settings.
