I just got updated test scores back and I want to update adcom. Should I just send an email to the general admissions address or should I write my admissions manager? It's a toss-up, because the last time I emailed my admissions manager, it took weeks for her to reply.

I would email the general program at this point. If you're applying for R2 Full time (I assume you are), then the decisions are coming out in a couple weeks from now.

However, I don't know if your updated test score is a considerable enough jump (What was your first score), and/or if the adcom will even consider it.

Thanks. You're right about round 2. Actually, it's not a GMAT score I'll be updating. I just got my passing score from the Japanese Language Proficiency Test level 3 (The test is administered in December!!), and since I mentioned passing level 4 last year and taking level 3 in my resume, I thought it would complete that corner of my resume.

Can't you email the general address and CC your admissions manager?

For me it's more like another four weeks, but all I can do now is just watch NBA League Pass on the weeknights, and yes, the gym and booze help too.

Okay fellow G-Town prospects. While GULC 3L Sandra Fluke was the face of the university last week because of Rush which we don't have to rush into, the Georgetown MBA program is rolling out a new curriculum for the Full-Time and the Evening Programs this fall:

https://msb.georgetown.edu/story/1242677438886.html
https://www.businessweek.com/articles/20 ... curriculum

So how does a more global, and a more data-intensive core appeal to you all? I think this is a sign of the times given that data analysis is becoming important to almost every industry out there.

MSB is generally not considered a heavy quant school (even though it seems to place a significant number of students in finance/banking), so moving towards a tougher/more analytical curriculum seems to be a step in the right direction. New facilities, new curriculum...at least they're trying to give off the perception that they're serious about moving up the rankings. I guess we'll see how things work out in the next few years...

BTW - I probably need more gym, less booze...

There's also a new dean at Georgetown, who comes from Harvard, and was also a professor at Wharton, so he may have been influential in the change of the curriculum, but he is not the only person.

Going to be a long one. McDonough is probably the best fit for me of all the school I've applied.

I'm actually kind of glad my invite and interview came late in the process. Shorter wait after the fact.

It would be really swell if they could put us out our misery early in the week. I am not counting on it though. Good luck everyone!

I still have another two and a half weeks for the PT MBA decision. Fortunately it's also March Madness time, so that makes the wait more palatable.

Anyone here a dual degree applicant? I applied to the MBA-MPP program, have interviewed with MSB but haven't heard anything from the Public Policy Institute... Wondering if any dual degree applicants have heard from the second school?

Good luck to everyone this week (or the next few weeks for the PT folks)...

BTW - I think the Hoyas got a pretty tough draw...Belmont ain't too shabby...
