For GSB, you have to stand out in an area you are passionate about - FAANG, Unicorns, MBB - all great but no guarantee at GSB - they are looking for people that do more than collect experiences - they are looking people that curate them. I want to be/do [?], so I created a path to learn [x], [y] and [z]. now i’m ready for GSB to get to the next level.
take your GMAT before your graduate, aim for 675+, then you can focus on what you want to accomplish post-grad

Stanford GSB is the dream - Intellect, Passion, Vision and Drive ---- you’ll need the GMAT score, startup is a great place, develop your passion and your vision. Apply to the deferred MBA program in your final year.

Profile: PhD in Biochemistry researching on Cancer biomarkers, post doctoral research in vaccine biology for a year, worked as a journal services manager for two years, picked up policy understanding, and currently work as freelance life sciences consultant. Total experience is about ten years. I did take a maternity/health break after PhD. Have six international publications. Have exemplar global black belt in lean six Sigma and executive certificates on hospital management and neuroscience in marketing. Am a mental health advocate and passionate about public health. I am an artist and run classical dance classes. Am 40. I would like to pivot from mainstream life science research and policy to consulting through an MBA. Preparing for GMAT. Initial mocks secured 99th percentile in verbal but in the 50s for quant. :dontknow:
. I would like to know where i may apply to maximise my chances of landing a scholarship. I prefer Singapore and India since am focused on maximizing ROI.
At your level, you will be looking at Executive or Senior MBA programs - There are several Senior Exec and Management Programs in India; INSEAD has a Global EMBA program as well.

For US/UK - LBS or MIT Sloan Fellows, Stanford MSx, USC IBEAR, Foster GEMBA - these are full time programs geared toward experienced professionals. The GMAT/Executive Assessment are more of a baseline to ensure you can handle the quant/analytical side - less about getting top scores. If GMAT is difficult, try the Executive Assessment - faster, easier and accepted at this level of MBA.
