Hello everyone, Is there any grace period available for recommender to submit the recommendations?
My recommender is attending some personal emergencies and has requested for additional time.

Hi guys I’m in a mess and would appreciate any insights on my issue
I had a GRE score of 327 but decided to retake the test to aim for higher I took the test online and my unofficial score was 334. 8 days later my results was published as cancelled. I have sent GRE an appeal and I was not given a tangible reason. I’ve been advised to retake the test. I honestly don’t know how to move forward.
1. I do not know that I would achieve that score again, it took me two months to retake and get the extra 7 marks 2. If I retake the test before the 4th, I won’t have my percentiles and Analytical writing score to include in the application
I would greatly appreciate any ideas here

You can apply with your old score of 327 and update the score later by email the adcom. Most schools accept updated scores.

Usually between six to seven weeks for round one and round two, much less after round three because they need to get things wrapped. And that round is much smaller. If you applied this month, February 16 https://mba.wharton.upenn.edu/applicati ... deadlines/

Hello R2 applicants!
GMAT Club is organizing a LIVE INTERVIEW PREPARATION SERIES for all T15 schools. If you are anticipating an interview invite, you can register for the sessions. The sessions will be organized by admission consultants, current students, and R1 admits.
Note: This is not a recorded session and the seats are limited.

More than the way, you should have a clear and compelling reason to do so. if it is about informing a change in your professional status, then rather than a new CV, send this as an update in an email (no attachments).

Pretty sure they said by 5pm ET, but I checked clear admit from last year and it seems they were rolling out throughout the day..
PM me if you want to mock TBD, I can organize and potentially bring in a current student to play the role of an Admissions fellow.

Why is this always a question? As if there is some conspiracy against Indian applicants

Over represented = tougher competition

Nothing like that. Indians especially Indian males form over represented group so competition is very. Especially in R2 I am assuming that getting invites is even harder. So everyone who has done so much work on the profile , scored really well on GMAT etc wants to understand what went wrong. One parameter that really help is how many Indians got calls in R2 to understand if these numbers were extremely low to begin with.

Also helps with strategizing which round to apply in the following year, just based on trends.

Yes exactly if it becomes apparent that applying in R1 next year makes no sense then one can target other schools

So you think that the sample size of how many Indians got interviews from this group chat is going to allow you to infer the proportion who got invited to interview? I don’t agree

You don’t even know the sample/population size

It’s you don’t have to. Maybe he/she wants to find out where he/she lacked was it just the GMAT or something else. Any response here would lead to a private chat probably. Just ignore the message, it;s that simple.

Hi anyone organizing Wharton mock TBDs ? Would definitely be interested.
We have a Wharton interview prep session happening in a few hours. There will be a live mock interview and inputs from the admissions consultant, Scott who is a Wharton alum.
I have 2 spots left for a Wharton TBD Simulation for Thursday the 22nd at 2 pm pacific time/5 pm et. The cost is $500 and will be moderated by Alex Leventhal (HBS grad), Founder of Prep MBA.
Please contact me directly ASAP if you are interested.
After the main sesssion, there will be a group debrief and then 1 on 1 feedback.
hey - if anyone is doing a mock today/tomorrow - would love to join in!

Hard for anyone to know - but will be important to display your self-awareness and reflection skills
Think of it this way: TBD: Business Research, Presenting, and Teamworking 1-1: Self-awareness + Reflection

Are the TBDs evaluated on a per-candidate basis, i.e. feedback per candidate + the rest of the application, or a group overall, i.e overall performance of the group decides the performance of each candidate?

I am pretty sure the outcome of the group has no bearing, rather they are observing how each candidate is engaging with the group and advancing the discussion. My guess is per-candidate for sure.

I second the above. It was also shared that extroverts vs introverts are evaluated differently as they are expected different "dynamics" in the group and your contribution to the overall advancement are measured accordingly.

Those who did TBD interviews what were your thoughts and reflections ? I feel that the group I was with were all on point, super prepared, confident, clearly acting on what is mentioned online(not being too dominating, being extra nice etc) it didn’t feel too natural I felt I showed less confidence than them

Source Wharton blog from previous class:
"As many of you know, our admissions team used to start off decision release day with calls to admitted applicants to congratulate them on their admission. Last year we made the decision to change this tradition, as we learned that for applicants, waiting for these phone calls caused unnecessary stress. We want to be mindful of our applicants’ mental space, so tomorrow’s decisions will all be released at the same time, via our online application portal."

I just logged into the Wharton portal. It used to have a "check status" button that would direct to the PDF showing my interview invite. Now the "check status" button is gone. Is that true for everyone else? I’m assuming it means nothing but March 26th feels so far away, and I’m going to keep driving myself crazy looking for hints until then.

I think it is simply them preparing for the letter in the system. We could still be getting accepted/WL/rejected
