I interviewed on Jan 5th but still no update. I guess they’ll issue the decisions exactly on the decision deadline.

Does anybody has any idea whether UGA entertains requests for early decisions as I have enrolment deadlines coming up before the decision deadline date of March 20th. Although I have requested the same but I haven’t received any response from their end. Any help is appreciated.

All the questions were along the expected lines except one.

3.How to handle diversity?

Yes. This is correct
And I was interviewed on Dec 24. The decision date was Feb 1 or Feb 2. Initially I was put on waitlist and they gave me final offer on February 28.

I stayed in touch with the Admissions director, Cara Sonnier. I kept apprising her about the certifications I was doing, about my promotion and also told her about the other offers I had. Since Cara was also my interviewer I had already conveyed to her why Terry is my first choice.
In the last week of February she again forwarded my application to adcom with the additional inputs and they gave me admission offer with full and GA this time.

I applied in Round 3. Submitted my application on March 1st 2023. No update as of yet. I mailed the admission office and they said that the application is still being reviewed. But I think it is a generic line, probably something they say to every candidate. It is very much possible that I am already rejected. Probably would know by 10th April. I don’t have high hopes for being invited to interview. It has already been 20 days since I submitted my application.

Got it. It is less than a couple of weeks for the final decisions. It would be hard to get an invite and then finish it and then get a decision by April 10th but I have seen a few instances of it before.

I am not trying to hide anying but all I can say is that the interviewer was a member of the admissions committee. I had previously interacted with the admissions team during their campus events, and they were exceptionally kind and friendly. I hope your interview went well!

Hello everyone, seeking suggestions on how to approach the goals essay for Terry. Out of all the schools I am applying to, only Terry has asked to write about "Tell us about yourself and describe your short- and long-term career goals in 400 words."

Others were straightforward Why MBA, Goals and Why school. I was relying solely on Clearadmit’s essay analysis for writing. However, they don’t have that for Terry.

1) How would you recommend I structure this essay?
2) Is it advisable to write about Why I chose Terry too?
3) By asking about ourselves, are they asking, "What motivated me to get an MBA?" or "What is my background and how does it relate to my career goals"?

With regard to your third question, essentially the answer to both questions is the same; however, if you feel that there is a difference, the latter is what you need to answer i.e. your background and how it relates to your goals.

Hey everyone! I applied in R2 on January 10th. I was just notified that I have been waitlisted without interview.

I am without full-time experience as I just finished my undergrad with UGA, so I am aware that hinders my profile. However, I am applying for the dual degree MBA/MPH program that is offered, and I am already in the MPH program thankfully.

What should I do? If I am taken off the waitlist, am I to be interviewed before I am potentially admitted? Any advice would be great. Thank you!
