What are the companies in finance that McKinsey, BCG and Bain are to consulting? Are there prestigious places that offer great exit opportunities after 3 or 4 years? Is Goldman Sachs still a great place to get experience? I've looked through the forums and know I may have missed a lot of discussion on this but I can't seem to find any. Thanks in advance!
The big 3 consulting firms are analogous to bulge bracket firms in sell side finance (GS, MS, Citi, CS, JPM, ML), analogous to large shops in PE (Blackstone, KKR, Carlyle), analogous to large shops in AM (Fidelity, TRow, Pimco), and analogous to large funds in HF (DE Shaw, Bridgewater, Citadel). All names in parentheses are examples.
All places are great firms to start, develop, and enjoy one's career.
