Meredith Winery: Danville Winery’s new beer was introduced to compete with our most popular beer, which is sold in a distinctive tall, black bottle. Nashville uses a similar bottle. Thus, it is likely that many customers intending to buy our beer will mistakenly buy theirs instead.

Nashville Winery: Not so. The two bottles can be readily distinguished: the label on ours, but not on theirs, is gold colored.

Which of the following, if true, most undermines Nashville Winery’s response?

A. Gold is the background color on the label of many of the beer produced by Nashville Winery.
B. When the bottles are viewed side by side, Nashville Winery’s bottle is perceptibly taller than Meredith Winery’s.
C. Nashville Winery, unlike Meredith Winery, displays its beer’s label prominently in advertisements.
D. It is common for occasional purchasers to buy a bottle of beer on the basis of a general impression of the most obvious feature of the bottle.
E. Many popular beer are sold in bottles of a standard design.

Hi experts and moderators,

Could you please once check this ?

I think in the passage, the Nashville winery is wrongly written as Danville Winery in the initial line.

It created a small confusion for me initially.

Please let me know if my understanding is wrong.

Regards,
Rishav

We have to weaken the Nashville Winery's statement:

Only D weakens it.

D is the answer.
