Mistakes we can afford

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know the number of mistakes we can afford to get a score of around 700 on the GMAT FE?
Any advise would help.

RishS94 is on the right track, but aiming for under 5 mistakes might be a bit too tight for a 700. Most people shoot for 6-8 mistakes total.

There is no fixed answer to this.

Even one mistake on a super easy question can drop your score drastically. On the contrary, you can afford to mark incorrectly a handful of the extremely hard questions.

I have seen people miss 6 questions on Verbal and still end up with a 99th percentile. I have also seen people reporting a 10-point drop in DI despite missing just 1 question.
