Is this similar to MMA programs that some schools offer? I have considered these programs as an alternative to MBA, so am curious.

Masters in Business Analytics is more technical, focused on data analysis and modeling.
Masters is Management Analytics is more strategic, focused on using analytics to inform management decisions.
Which degree is right for you depends on your career goals and interests. If you're primarily interested in the technical aspects of data analysis, a Masters in Business Analytics might be a good fit. If you want to use analytics to drive business strategy and decision-making, a Masters in Management Analytics could be a better choice.
