A little while ago I learned I did not get into my target part-time program. There are other local programs in the area, but I'm looking to shake things up a bit by moving.
I still want to pursue the best part-time program I can while continuing my career. I could go about this two ways:
1. Identify a school I am confident I can get into, find a good job in the area, move, then try to get into the school.
2. Apply to several part-time programs prior to moving, get in to one, then try to find a job within driving distance of the school.
Both of these options require a fair amount of logistics...are either of these viable? Anyone ever done anything like this?

Interesting idea!
I think your application will raise some questions if you try strategy #2 - e.g. you trying to get into the school and then looking for a job. This will weaken your application as you will have a contingency and a chance you won't matriculate due to failure to find a job or being "that guy" who is in PT program without a job. I don't have personal experience with this particular case, but I would guess that the schools wont' like it and unless you can prove that you can transfer to an office/have a job offer in hand may not consider your app seriously.

Hello everyone. I am a working professional with 4 years of work ex, looking forward to do an MBA. But there is so much of information on the internet; it is getting very difficult to filter out my options. Seek valuable opinions of the forum members to help me filter out colleges, abroad? Any consideration set while choosing a B school?
