Since there is practically no school that offers a master's degree in consulting

The reason is that firms don't just say "we'll hire a consultant, he'll help us figure this out". Instead they say "we'll hire a tax consultant", or "...a M&A consultant", or "...an operations management consultant", and so on. So if you want to become a consultant, you should first figure out in what field you want to consult in, then figure out what it's about.

So if you want to become a consultant in operations management you should probably go into an MS operations management program such as the one proposed by eurospec. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense.

I agree... the MS in consulting seems way too broad and somewhat fishy. Go for something more specific that will convey your skillset.

Warwick Business School offers a MSc in Business Analytics and Consulting. The program seems pretty nice still not sure I'm going. Got a conditional offer - apparently GMAT 760 is not enough and now have to take GRE :(

You might consider a masters in management from a top tier institution or a masters in whatever particular field interests you and then try and get recruited. Consulting isn't really a single thing, people consult on everything from IT to strategy and other than being outsiders there isn't much similarity between the guy at McKinsey who is there to design strategy and the guy installing/implementing software.

What is your goal? To work in a consulting firm?

Go with the school/degree that has record of sending students off to consultancies after graduation. Not sure what you will learn with an MS in consulting since consulting can be strategy, finance, operations, HR, IT.. or it can be industry focused with Energy, Healthcare, Products, Communications, Banking.
