Hi everyone,
I just took my GMAT FE for the first time yesterday and got 645 (Q84, V82, DI80). Below is the score breakdown. I think I performed better than normal on my quantitative reasoning (2 incorrect answers) and data insights (8 incorrect last answers). However, I underperformed on verbal reasoning (Usually get above 80th and even reached 91th on mocks #5,6) and yesterday got 5 incorrect answers (4 in RC which I am usually confident, 1 in CR)
Before the test, I aimed for 655+ but 645 doesn't look too bad to me. So I'm on the fence about whether I should retake the test or not since GMAT made me burn out as I had to work and prepare for it simultaneously.
I'm planning to apply for the MSBA programs 2025 intake and some schools that I'm considering are UT Austin, ASU, USC Marshall, CU Boulder, National Uni of Singapore, and Uni of Melbourne.
My profile:
- Female, 22y, Vietnamese
- Graduated from a top university in Vietnam and transferred to Colorado State University in my last year as a part of the partnership between the 2 universities. (Bachelor: Economics (GPA: 3.88), on my I-20 it says Economics and Quantitative Economics)
- Work exp: 1 year as a team financial assistant for a US corp.
- Had some extracurricular activities (VP in a student club).
- TOP 30 National Finalists UFLL 2022
- 1 literature review published in WTO Workshop in Vietnam
Here are some questions that I would be very happy if anyone can help me with:
- Regarding my profile and the universities that I'm considering, should I retake the GMAT? If yes, I would be more than happy to receive recommendations on how I can improve my score.
- Other than LOR, SOP, and GMAT scores, is there anything else I can do to my profile now to increase my chance of acceptance to the above schools and maybe a chance for a scholarship?
- With this profile, what are my chances of getting into the above-listed schools?
- Do you have any suggestions on other MSBA programs I should consider regarding my profile?
Thank you very much for your help!
