what are some things that you definitely should write down on paper before you start?

It's better to write down on sheet ABCDE for SC. But I prefer not to write anything..

Write down what, exactly? If it's a verbal question I usually write ABCDE and do the elimination process. If it's DS I write down if it's AD or BCE depending on whether the first statement is true or not. For other math problems, I write down my work? Lol.

you could make a grid type thing for crossing out answer choices.
