Hi guys,
Just sat my GMAT yesterday after 3.5 month preparation and 1 reschedule. Got myself a 740 (Q50, V40, IR8) and updated my score in our GMAT Estimate tool to contribute. Just want to share with everyone a glimpse of my journey.
Before my GMAT, I had the following mock tests:
- LBS Diagnostic: 650-700 Q50-53, V31-34
-
MGMAT 1: 640 Q44 V33
-
MGMAT 2: 660 Q44 V36
-
MGMAT 3: 700 Q47 V38
-
MGMAT 4: 720 Q44 V45
- GMAT Prep 1: 750 Q48 V44
- GMAT Prep 2: 720 Q50 V38
For practice, I spent about 2.5 months going through the
MGMAT books. During the month after that, I completed the
OG 16 and did the practice tests. Overall, I think my study plan did not really improve my knowledge base much, but rather it strengthened what I already knew. I would recommend the
MGMAT Sentence Correction book and the
OG the most out of all the materials I went through. In the
MGMAT, they had a lot of strategies, but I felt like I was not gonna be able to adapt them into my strategy in time so I ended up not using them.
I used the GMATClub question bank for leisure question tackling when I didn't have the time or energy to study seriously. Also reading about other success stories did help a lot with my morale.
Now, I will be on to my application for Master in Management. I'm applying to Fuqua, Ross, LBS, LSE and ESSEC so please give me a shout if you are applying there too!
