.. What hit me in the test except for SC ( to which I am not sure how I fared) was the RC to which I admit , I did not give enough importance it deserved.
Hi GmatDM2016, you might want to opt for Enhanced Score Report, which would clearly tell you how you fared in each of the sub-sections on Verbal.

Quote:
I plan to start my SC preparation
Since you mention SC as an area of concern, thought I would mention our sentence correction book Sentence Correction Nirvana, which is perhaps the only book that offers a score improvement guarantee, and is proving to be the new bible of SC, for many:).

After reading the book twice (yes! it's an academic book, and so must be read twice in all seriousness, to reinforce the concepts), you will start looking forward to solving SC questions!

The book is available on Flipkart and Amazon.in. You might want to refer to these sites, to also read testimonials of how readers have benefited.

See here how Mohit, who scored 750 on GMAT, vouches for our book.

If you want to sample a chapter before deciding to go ahead with our book, please PM me your mail-id (along with the chapter that you would like to sample) and I will be happy to send that chapter to you by mail. In addition, the entire Grammar section of the book is also available for free preview at pothi.

Dear GmatDM2016,

I am sorry to hear about your GMAT score. Please write to me at [email protected] from your registered e-GMAT ID and our strategy experts can guide your appropriately.

In short, here is what we suggest you to do now

1) Go through the recording of the GMAT Score Booster webinar. Here is what we cover in this session:
- Score Plateau and how can improving core skills avoid that.
- GMAT and ability: the two things that you need to know.
- Timing: what is the core issue
- 30 days to 720: how to create your super personalized plan.

Here is the link to the session: https://bit.ly/294ey08. The session PDF can be found here: https://bit.ly/294gfXq.

2) Get your ESR (if you haven't) and use GMAT Planner to finalize the ability scores you need to achieve.

3) Create a multi step study plan to achieve your target score. Evaluate your improvement at every step using Scholaranium. Make sure that you have reached your target ability.

4) Finally take a few mock tests to confirm that you have actually improved.

I hope the above helps. We look forward to your email on [email protected].

Regards,
Rajat Sadana

My two cents is that there's often a lot of focus on which resources you should use and much less focus on what strategies you are actually implementing in the test room. I don't really think that the questions you're studying from are the greatest predictor of your score.
