Hi all,
First of all, thanks to this amazing community for being my single trusted source for advice, motivation, deals, and of course, the awesome GMAT tests.
I had my high expectation from my first attempt (February 2016), but unfortunately things didn't go as planned and I scored just 680 (Q50 V31) IR 7.
I had never scored this bad in any test I gave during preparation, so a second attempt for me was an obvious choice. I did today (24 September 2016), and scored 760 (Q51 V42 ) IR-8.
Today, I need some advice/thoughts again. Should I apply in second round of this year (December 2016) or wait and apply in the first round of next year (September 2017)?
Indian Male, Age 23
Standing today, 13 months work ex. as a Business Analyst in Cognizant (Fortune 500)
Gold Medalist from IIT Mandi (Indian Institute of technology, Mandi) (Top tier Engineering college in India)
CGPA 8.01/10
Extremely active in co-curricular activities.
Held positions of responsibilities during college (College Cultural & Tech fest Convener, Basketball team captain, Music club coordinator etc.)
What do you all think would be better for me? Aim is obviously to get into one of the top colleges.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Prashant
Your profile looks impressive and the only thing that needs improving is really the work experience. Therefore, I would also advise you to wait another year before applying. In the best case scenario you should also see if you can achieve anything noteworthy at work during this year in order to boost your CV even more.
Good luck and congrats on your impressive new GMAT score!
