Dear Guys
Need help and advice.
I am Indian female with 10 yrs of work ex in IT. Predominantly in IT Services delivery and presales background .
I have given GMAT twice ( First attempt): almost 1.5 yrs back, I did not prepare at all and ended with a very bad score of 500
I prepared well this time for 3+ months and have been consistently scoring 670 and above in Kaplan last 5 classroom tests and
decided to sit for my real GMAT last week. I felt burnt out and tired on the last few days to test and just could not concentrate .
I was not nervous but just could not concentrate and again got 500 . I have lost my confidence to even sit for the exam
even though this score does not show my ability .
I have been a consistent performer during my engineering and also have completed my part time MBA and other certifications.
I have worked across multiple geographies in Europe selling IT Services and have picked up German and French(elementary level)
I need help and advice on the following queries
1. I am planning to write it again probably in another 3-6 months.My query is will these impact my application? How are multiple scores treated
by schools like LBS ?

Taking the GMAT twice will not impact you as a candidate. Schools see all scores but only take the highest. If you get above a handful of times in the valid score window (5 years), schools begin to frown upon this as it looks like you're score hunting.

Generally most of the Indian applicants are from an engineering background with a good 4-5 years of work experience. Although it is not just the work experience that counts but also what you did there like-what were your achievements, what initiative you took, what changes you drove in your workplace etc. So if you can show that in 2-3 years you have demonstrated the skills business schools are looking for you can put in a strong set of essays.
So make sure you highlight your academics and beyond well in your application and your profile is differentiated from the rest. Also if your part time work experience could be related to your desired course subject/subjects then it could boost your chances.
Make sure you follow the ‘show rather than tell’ principle so that the admissions committee could really understand your strengths and differentiating factors.”
