I posted this topic
https://gmatclub.com/forum/take-me-from-verbal-early-30-s-to-late-40-s-86220.html but seems like there isn't much response. So I have contemplated over my idea for two days and have figured out to put it this way.
I started out exhausting
OG 11 verbal sections twice and
OG Verbal review once before I realized there are specific strategies to implement for getting through the questions. I then learnt those strategies from
MGMAT SC and Kaplan CR and browsed a couple of websites for RC. I tried solving
MGMAT and kaplan questions but the language, style and sentence framing was distinctly different from
OG so as per my friend's suggestions, I returned to
OG Verbal, finished it the second time and booked for the exam. My strike rate had improved alarmingly up to 75% correct of all attempted questions any given moment and I was hoping that was sufficient.
After taking two continuous GMATPrep tests, turns out my verbal was still lagging 10 points behind what could possibly get me a 700. I figured out, when I attempt new questions, I must try and implement the strategies to the exact word but then, in reality, turns out again that this was a way I was actually guessing at the answer options based on my spontaneity and my inherent language abilities.
Now what is it that I could practise rigorously and regressively over with the strategies. I need to learn to implement the strategies at every question I come across and I need to make that a habit, but I'd want suggestions on study materials that are very closely helpful since I've already exhausted all of
OG.
