Hi guys
Just got my official score today: 695 (Q87, V85, D82). I'm aiming for applying for finance masters at the following schools later this year:
LSE MSc Finance
HEC Paris, Masters in International Finance
Bocconi MSc Finance
I also want to keep my options open to US programs if possible. I'm currently looking at the MSFE at Columbia, MFin at MIT Sloan, and Masters of Asset Management at Yale. The issue is these US programs cost a lot more in tuition (and living costs for NY, Cambridge, and New Haven) than the european schools I mentioned above. Essentially, these programs are only accessible to me with aid and scholarships.
I'm an Indian male, 22 years old, just completed a year at S&P Global as a Data Analyst (covering M&A and RoF transactions, centered around profiling entities involved in these transactions). By the time sessions start next year, I'll have two years of work ex. I've also got some AI and automation based side projects at work that I believe I can use for profile building and I'll have recommendations from my manager, and a director (academic recommendations are not really possible for me in my current situation).
The main gap on my profile is a 6.3/10 GPA during my undergrad Economics degree due to family circumstances. I was hoping my GMAT would help here. I do have extracurriculars from this time as I led India's largest independent student news organization, in charge of all digital and online news and content. I also have internship experience at JLL (fortune 500 property consultancy services firm, worked as a business analyst focused on competitive research and mapping).
Any idea if my profile fits any of these programs? After covering transactions at work, I'd like to switch to M&A advisory roles and I believe these programs should help get my foot through the door.
Would I be able to secure financial aid from any of the schools I mentioned? Including the european ones too? Thanks for your help!
