Re: Need advice on Verbal [#permalink]
MartyTargetTestPrep I started my prep last november. I finished the magoosh course but i found that the questions for verbal were not on the same level as the official questions. I finished the OG 2022 twice, solved over 500-600 official verbal questions on gmatclub gave manhattan mocks all 6, experts global mocks and gmatprep mocks. I also watched a ton of videos on youtube mainly of GMATNinja. I was averaging about v33 v34 v35 in all my mocks. I even got a v40 on one of manhattan's mocks. I am thinking of giving the gmat online from home as i think test anxiety was the cause for my low verbal score. Any thoughts on that?

Do you know your accuracy percentages on those verbal practice questions, easy, medium, hard, or overall?

Yes my accuracy was more than 90% on sub 600 level questions about 70-80% on 600-700 level questions and about 40-50% on 700-800 level questions.

Yes my accuracy was more than 90% on sub 600 level questions about 70-80% on 600-700 level questions and about 40-50% on 700-800 level questions.

Those accuracies are about in line with a mid 30s verbal score. Thus, it makes sense that you may have scored lower than usual because of anxiety.

So, a reasonable plan would be to do some more untimed and timed practice to achieve accuracy a bit higher and then take the GMAT again at home if you think you'll be more comfortable there.
