Into my story we go, I took the GMAT first on June 30, 2015 I hadn't done any studying and only decided to take the test two weeks before. I wanted to take it before school got started and I was going to spend the month of July and first half of August traveling Europe. I didn't know what to expect but after the test I came out with a 560 (35 Q 33V). Even though I hadn't studied I was upset because I had looked to see what topics the GMAT covered and felt like i knew what was going on little did i know. After getting back from my trip and spending a lot of time reading I decided it was time to conquer the GMAT end up somewhere closer to 700 if not at it. I took the Veritas Prep live online course and studied for 2 weeks afterwards. This past weekend I took the test and made a 610 (Q42 V31). I was happy but devastated by my verbal. I did run into he problem of just really struggling on verbal I just ran out of gas and there was someone next to me taking some real estate license test and needless to guess by the expletives this lady was yelling she failed. I struggled to focus at all on the RC. I did much much worse on RC than i had been doing on any practice tests and was shocked because i read the WSJ everyday and constantly read books. Now I am taking 20 days to detox from the GMAT and developing a plan to come back and attack it smart and effectively to make it to 700. Anything you could provide to help me on my journey would be AMAZING!!
