im a Pharm.D ( doctor of pharmacy) graduate planning to apply for MBA in u.s after working in india for sometime. i need suggestion on whether to take GMAT or GRE? . since i come from a science background, would gre help me get into good B school?

Hi,
Welcome to Gmatclub. Both GMAT or GRE are acceptable in B-schools. Generally, B-schools prefer GMAT. You can go through your targeted school website and look for their minimum requirements. Some schools also mention the minimum percentile of GRE, whereas avg. score of GMAT. You can go ahead to take an official mock for both and check which one is better for you. All the best.

Hi,

The acceptance rate of GMAT is much more (approximately 80%~85%) than GRE for most of the US schools.

Yes, gre is accepted by almost all business schools. If you are comfortable with gre, you can do gre test and submit your gre score to your designated schools.

Note that for management consulting career placement, gmat is the gold standard for applicant screening. If you go for other kinds of career, then you don't have to worry about taking gre

Both tests are accepted; however, as noted, some schools prefer one test to the other.

Have you thought of taking both tests? Both tests are similar in many respects and studying for both may help in other ways. This plan will require more resources though.

Hey,

We have created this test to help you figure out the difference between the GRE and GMAT and to help you make this decision with more decisive data.

The diagnostic test contains questions from both exams. So, based on the questions you pick correct and the resulting score, you will have a reliable estimation IF the GMAT or the GRE is the most suitable test for you.
