Hi all,
Is gre / gmat test scores looked into while applying for jobs post MBA in USA ?
This is for mainly consulting ..
Posted from my mobile deviceNot as much. Esp now that many MBA programs take in people with GRE or no scores whatsoever. There is still a field on the applications that is asking for your score but you can leave it blank or put in N/A (not available).
Usually the GMAT scores were a way to eliminate some of the lower-ranked school applicants (e.g. Top 50 applicant with a GMAT 630) from recruiting for MBB's and it is a bit of a two-way round since a Top 50 applicant with a 750, could get some attention but not all that much.
Bottom line is you are unlikely to get disadvantaged if you do not disclose your scores. At the same time with only 2% of the applicants actually getting recruited by the MBB's, you have very slim chances of success.
