Hi I gave my GMAT exam on 19th of Sept, and scored 640 (Q45, V33) but what was more dissapointing is that I got a very low score of 1 in DI section.

Now i am not sure if I shoud retake the examination or not.

PS : I will be applying only to German Colleges. I have a 5+ work ex and have an avg 6.7 CGPA in B. Tech.

Hello and thanks for your post.

I suggest re-taking the GMAT, especially if you feel that you have the potential to do even a little better. You have nothing to lose since schools only look at your highest score, so even if you do not do as well, schools will only consider your highest score. They will also see that you had the motivation to take it again.

Even i feel u should retake becoz of the IR is 0% which is horrible to hear(i feel though) and quant score of 45 is just 60%..........which have a chance of improvement so give it a shot

Yes, You should retake GMAT. Because you have decent decent score in verbal section. so you need only focus and some practice of advance level question you can score 700+. In GMAT main problem is verbal section and you have good potential in verbal section.

I guessed something happened with IR section that's why you scored only 1. because in IR section average score is 4.5.

I suggest being engineer you would have good command in Quant section. Verbal is already good, So just focus on 15 days study. Take GMAT on first week of december. definitely you will get more than 700+.

In GMAT Quant section is easy part you need only little concentration on questions, easily anyone who is from engineering background can score 48-49.

Good luck friend..700+ in not far from you. Just believe and focus..
