Hi,
I am working as an Analyst in a big Multinational Hedge Fund.I have a work of 3 years as of current date.I have a 650/585 GMAT score. I have 77 percent in college from one of the top colleges in India. I did BCom in Finance and Marketing. I want to stay in Finance Industry. I have done charity work and also I was part of Toastmasters Club in my college. want to know my chances in the following BSchools
1. Copenhagen Business School
2. Frankfurt School of Finance
3. Trinity College Dublin
4. Judge Business School
5. INSEAD
6. HEC Paris
7. IMD
8. Erasmus Rotterdame
I really want to get into one of these but really doubtful about my chances. I am planning to apply for September 2025/January 2026 intake.
Please do reply and help me with my dilemma.
Posted from my mobile device@sk2509 - some interesting angles on the surface.
I'd suggest a retake if possible (or switching to GRE), particularly to increase odds at programs like INSEAD, HEC etc. Having said that, your overall profile and how well you portray it in the application would also play a role, like
this candidate who got into HEC with a 650 GMATWould like to understand your professional experience (which domains/ topics have you worked on, were there promotions, have you led teams, worked with international teams, etc.), career plans (which sector/ function/ geography are you looking at, why is that transition not possible without an MBA), and the transferable skills that would smoothen the transition. These are some angles that B-schools pay attention to, and would also help in prioritizing/ shortlisting programs.
The Extracurricular angle also needs some more clarity, ideally some recent activities you're (consistently) involved in, that would help present a balanced profile.
Feel free to reach out with your profile for a deeper discussion.
