Hello,

I have my exam scheduled on upcoming friday.

Current GMAT Level

GMAT Official score 530(took exam without much preparation 2 years back)
GMAT Prep 1 640 (Q50 V26)
GMAT Prep 2 620 (Q47 V29)
GMAT Prep 3 590 (Q50 V20)
GMAT Prep 4 600 (Q50 V22) (I am very weak in RC and i got 3 back to back passages in the start of the exam)

Aiming to achieve 670-690, and planning for Jan 2022 or sept 2022 intake

Preparing only from GMAT club questions. Current GMAT club level (Q51 V37)

While taking GMAT Prep exam, in every exam, quant section was completed almost 8-9 minutes earlier then scheduled time but for every verbal section i was lagging for 3-4 questions every-time (mostly because i spend too much time on RC)

Satisfied with quants score but truly unsatisfied with verbal scores.

Experts please recommend, shall i postpone exam for further 3-4 weeks and study more on verbal or shall i give a try on upcoming friday's exam.

I just don't wanna get disheartened if i get the low score.

Also i can i improve score in verbal section, all kind of help are welcome.

bb, chetan2u, Bunuel, GMATNinja, generis daagh, souvik101990 pls help

Amit, the verbal scores, as can be seen, range from 22 to 29, meaning there is a lot of scope in the verbal still.

Now, you can get lucky in real exam and score above 30, but the GMAT prep scores say otherwise. It may be, therefore, advisable that you postpone your exam for few weeks. But say you want to go ahead with your exam still, believe in yourself that that is your lucky day.

Thank you chetan2u for your valuable advice. It turned out to be good day for verbal(based on my current level)
Took GMAT today
Scored 660(Q49 V31)
Yeah, could have scored better in Quant but i think now Q49 will make balance with V31.

Thank you for helping me almost for last 6 months(Yeah everyday I used to solve all questions you attempt everyday). I used to compare my approach with yours and most of the time it really matched(obviously i could not match your approach for extremely difficult questions :D) It really helped me in improving my Quant score.

Bunuel sajjad GMATNinja thank you very much for providing questions daily and covering almost all topics.

My journey from 520 to 660 has been really great till now with lots of learnings.

I will try for 1 more shot and try to maximise my score in next attempt(hopefully with fingers crossed).

I am thanking you here and keeping the biggest thanks for the next time in debrief of GMAT journey once i reach exceptional(for me) score.

Amit, great to hear that the day turned out far better than what you were afraid of.

I am sure this will boost your confidence level, and we would hear a 720-730+ debrief from you soon. Happy to be of some assistance in your preparation.

Take a break for 2-3 days and continue your prep. All the best!

Great job, Amit0701! A 140-point improvement is absolutely incredible, and it's something that very few people manage to achieve. It feels like you've made a big leap, and hopefully there's another leap coming.

Best of luck on your next attempt, and keep us all posted!
