Hi Gautam2493,

That 610 was a solid first score (the average on the Official GMAT is right around 540-550 most years). Since you've been studying for some time, it would be worthwhile to take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (including the Essay and IR sections) so that we can get a sense of your current GMAT skills. Taking FULL CATs at regular intervals (1 CAT every 1-2 weeks) is also a good idea, as it allows you to identify 'problem areas' sooner and helps you to better train to face the FULL GMAT. Once you have your next set of scores, you should report back here. That data will help to pinpoint what you should focus on next.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

You may wan to focus on concepts for some of the more advanced questions such as mixtures, rates, and combinatorics. Be sure you have a solid grasp of other easy/medium level questions.

We recommend going through various math questions here: www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-test/gma ... -questions

And you can further test yourself with a full-length computer adaptive test online here: www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-test/practice-test

Hello,

I am planning to take the Gmat in 2 months from now. I have spent around 2 months on the verbal section preparing from E-gmat's Verbal Live Prep course for non natives. I have been studying Quant only from the Official Guides. However, I havent found the difficulty level too high. Where should I study the quant section from ? Concepts and Practice both. Please tell me the least expensive op.tion. I got q45 on Gmat prep. Should I focus more on 700+ questions ? Please help.

Dear Gautam2493,

I hope you’ve benefitted from our Verbal course. Please write to us if you need any assistance. :)

Coming to your Quant score of Q45 – A Q45 score roughly indicates a percentile score of 65 percentile. During our interaction with students, we observed that students with 60-70 percentile usually have a decent grasp on the concepts but need assistance in applying the same concepts on GMAT like questions.

To get an idea about your comfort level in applying concepts, you can try our Number Properties Knockout Challenge. These questions are designed to test the student’s clarity of thought and application skills. If you like these questions, you’ll love our upcoming Number Properties free session. You can register for it from here.

You can also try our Audio Visual solutions in our free trial. These solutions will walk you through how to apply the concepts you learnt on 700+ level questions. (You will automatically receive access to the free trial as soon as you register for the Number Properties free session.)

Also, our Quant Live Prep course offers an unparalleled 3 point score improvement guarantee. For you, that translates to a score of at least Q48. :)

You can write to us at [email protected] for more details.

See you in the session! :-D
