Hi again,

So sorry! I thought you meant Chicago Booth School vs. Columbia Business School... ah, the trouble with acronyms! :) My advice pretty much remains the same with Columbia -- same trade offs and considerations. The only thing I will add is that there is a pretty robust tech start-up scene in New York - I'm not sure if you're at all interested in a post-MBA career in tech strategy at a start-up, but if so, NYC is not a bad bet (it's not Silicon Valley, but it's probably the next best thing in the U.S.!) Still, I would really just look at the placement stats for Columbia and see how many people end up at companies and in roles that you'd be interested in. I don't really think that the internship is going to be as critical for you in making your transition as you are only making a functional transition (not an industry and functional transition). If you do go to Columbia, you could also always take on part time work/consulting projects while in school (can be difficult to juggle all that, but it can be done) if you're worried about positioning yourself to employers a certain way.

Hope this helps!
Mili
