Hi everyone,
I'm in a bit of a bind and urgently need your advice. My GMAT is scheduled for this Wednesday, the 31st, and I've just realized a major issue: I don't have my passport with me. I live in a third country, so technically I can only appear with a passport, and my passport is away for visa renewal.
I do have a copy of my national ID, but as far as I understand, GMAT's official ID requirements don't seem to accept it. I'm planning to contact GMAT customer service as soon as their working hours begin and trying to see if its at all possible to get my passport back. However, I'm also reaching out to this community for any insights or experiences you might have had in similar situations.
Any advice on how to navigate this issue would be immensely appreciated. Have any of you faced a similar situation? If so, how did you resolve it?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Thanks
Hi TargetMBA007,
Is this a test-centre appointment? If it is, they will not let you take the exam without a valid passport ("
A passport is always required when taking the exam at a location outside of your country of citizenship"). However, you should confirm this with Pearson customer support.
If Pearson confirms that you can't take the test without a passport, you could check whether you can switch to the online GMAT (an Indian test taker for example, can use their Aadhar Card as ID for online appointments).
