Hey everyone! So here's my story:
I scored a 510 on my last GMAT, so obviously I have to take ot again.

I go to work from 8 to 5, get home and I start srtudying at 6pm until 11pm.
I've studied like crazy, I'm feeling confident in Math, but Verbal???
I do not know how to concentrate on the Reading Comprehension
Section.

How long should I spend on the first 12 questions of both sections?
How can I improve Reading Compreension section?
I am so nervous, my exam is in 15 days. Any tips on a study stragedy?

I need to score above 620. Please give me tips!!!

What are you gmat prep scores? If you don't feel confident you can postpone the test by few weeks.

I am scoring 41 in math and 28 in verbal. I've only taken the mba.com CATS. Yes, I might change the dte, but I want to check my scores this upcoming week, see how I am doing. Which other CATS do you suggest I take? Thank you!

Don't be nervous. Make a realistic plan everyday and focus on completing it.

Gmat club has a free diagnostic test, and Knewton.com has a free CAT exam as well.

If you own or plan to buy any MGMAT book, it comes with 6 CAT exams which are what I've been using.

dude. go in focused.

i just took mine today and screwed up. got a 550. pretty pissed. the quant is pretty hard but i think if you're scoring in the 40's you can manage. i felt that the verbal part was my downfall. ( i got a 25 on the verbal and a 42 on quant)

I've got the manhattan tests,I'm going to do those starting today. I feel like imve been captured by the gmat...my life is at pause and there isn't a single day I do not think about the gmat. I wish this was over already. Thank u all!

My first advice would be to firstly relax. It is the state of mind a person is in,which actually determines his performance.
I'd suggest that you go through the MGMAT books as you'll find them helpful . For your concern about RC, practice is the key as there are no fixed strategies.The more you practice the better you'll become! RC99 is a great book for the same.

Hi,
Take a MGMAT test. That will give you a very good idea about your weakness - PS/DS/RC/CR/SC
Post your success rate in each section here and then we could give you better advice. Don't worry, there is time!!! Just to be on the safe side, take a week off from work so that you could spend more time for studying.

There are plenty of strategies explained in this forum. You need to pick one that suits you and follow it religiously.
There is no dearth of GMAT material in this world now days but too much material can overwhelm you. Please stick to specific resources and plan and it will pay off.
My two cents....Staying calm and composed during the test is extremely important; therefore it can make huge difference in the final score. Also, only practice can make you more confident and less nervous during the test.

Agree 100%. GMAT is an attitude. It is a way of thinking. Be calm and focused. From my experience, if you can think the way they want you to think, you will nail it.
