Hi,
From my understanding, "Nevertheless" basically function the same as "however" or "but". Am I correct with it?
I read this sentence below from
OG RC practice, I am wondering does nevertheless change the meaning of the sentence due to the existence of the prior "but"? Or the author wants to address the meaning of the sentence by using those two connections at the same time?
Government policy has placed a priority on reducing inflation,
but these efforts have
nevertheless caused unemployment to increase.
Hope I made my question clear
Cheers,
Sally
