New Navigation Menu - Love it or Hate it?

Question

We have released a new navigation menu today. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts about it. I understand that for some who are used to using it on a daily basis (myself included) a change is always a hassle but I hope you can appreciate some new helpful features it has.

Today afternoon I observed this change. Menu bar/Ribbon layout is better than previous layout. New Ribbon is more user friendly. Earlier when I used to scroll down, menu bar used to get disappear. Now menu stays even when i scroll down. One more thing i observed and appreciate is advertisement is not on Menu Bar/Ribbon, which is really a sophisticated step:). GMATClub is a great organization and it has its own identity. I really didn't like when i used to open clubsite and used to see advertisement on top of page, even on top of club logo and user name.

Definitely i will say, I LOVE NEW NAVIGATION :D

Thanks! We have been trying new navigation options for over a year now. The idea was to get as close to FB's height as we could but other things kept distracting. Glad we finally got it out as waiting for something over a year is not something I like doing.

Sorry about that. That's your cache - please hit F5 3 times or F5+SHIFT at the same time. That will help it.

I am not able to browse the pages and click on any link.

The page is getting invisible on scrolling to the top.

I am using Google chrome browser.

Thanks for reporting. We are working on it. This seems to happen when opening desktop site on mobile or on a low resolution screen or zooming too much. We will fix it but in the mean time, please use a lower zoom setting.

like it, the pages are loading faster...moving the ad banners to the right is a good idea. it looks sleeker... I almost missed the main search tab, but I see now that it's on the header...thank you for implementing these changes.

bb  I saved some pages for offline use. I can't use them now. Website starts acting really weird when I open any of my saved pages. Please solve this issue.

The issue/bug/problem with zooming in your browser or visiting the Desktop site in a mobile device should be solved now.

okay here is my feedback: 1. I wouldn't use for example MARKETPLACE and DEALS separately. Market is where deals are. its very confusing. 2. I would replace word "deals" with something more relevant to education, DEALS is too generic. I would replace it with BuyStudyMaterials 3. If i click on GMAT i see (Deals, ADS, mobile applications, retaking GMAT, GMAT tutor ... too much info for mega navigation menu- I wouldnt use so much information here IMO "the less is the more" leave only the key information, its nav menu ) i would replace GMAT button with StartGMATride or journey …depends

Start GMAT Prep 4. FORUM i do think you need to create seperate button for business school and put all relevant information including all bschools discussions there. Business schools should definately have separate button on main nav manu. JoinForums sounds better (once clicked - we need to see PS, DS, RC and SC - no need to add more info) this is the key info. 5. REVIEWES should go under the section BuyStudyMaterials i would combine them 6. I would add GMATClubStore button in nav menu Why? GmatClub has its own designed GMAT test - it is product and should positioned accordingly. 7. All bschool discussions (incl the ones under FORUM) should be under COMPARE BSCHOOLS So here how i would make a navigation menu JoinForums StartGMATJourney BuyStudyMaterials Compare BSchools Chat GMATClubStore the above nav menu looks more practical, organized, and motivational compared to the updated one
