I have started preparing for GMAT but not able to follow a structured path. I have been doing self study. Any advice on this , please?
This is a common problem many test takers get into. I would say first, make a study plan and everyday before you start define small goals you want to reach by the end of that day of study. Do this for as many days. Every couple of weeks into the study, take one full length practice test which will help build stamina and prepare you for the actual test. Then do a test result analysis and identify your strength and weakness areas and get back into study mode... Keep iterating on this and you’ll soon be a pro. I hope this was helpful.

Every student has a different learning style and pace. I know people who have even scored 760 without tutors and also know people who’ve only managed 670 with a tutor. It’s all about what you’re comfortable with. As a baseline, take one practice test without any study to benchmark where you stand and how much you need to improve your score. That will help plan forward.

I had scored 570 and was able to improve that to 720 on my final mock through purely self-study. However, on exam day i got a bit nervous and ended up with 700 but it was enough for my target school so it all worked out for me. Not sure if this helps.

Yep. I actually studied without a prep course of any type. I did develop a study routine with an uncle who teaches at an Ivy--that he helped develop for me. It was basically a 5-6 week crash course, that required about 35 hours a week and got me comfortable working under time restrictions. I will say I was already fairly comfortable with large portions of the quant section. My score was roughly a 780.

Yeah. What helped is that I have a small tutorial business for high school people taking the SAT/ACT, and so it really helped I was still engaged in much of the topics.
