will this still remain true though with the gmat focus coming out? since the gmat focus incorporates data insights into your overall score, wouldnt they do the same with the IR when they try to recalculate down the line?

It will change with gmat focus. DI is a part of the overall score. AWA is obviously gone but IR/DI is now as important as any other question type.

You can and that’s what most people do. It takes three hours to prepare for the AWA. Just use the template to get a perfect or almost perfect score. IR doesn’t really have a lot of materials to prep for so you would just familiarize yourself with the questions a bit and try not to get too embarrassing of a score but I would say most people spend their little time on these two sections.

Referring question number 4 if a 10.0 kg block is stacked on top of the 8 kg block what is the magnitude F of the force, acting horizontally on the 8 kg block as before, that is required to make the two blocks start to move? (take g = 9.8m/s²

I don’t think there is one? If I’m not wrong, you simply register on the site and carry a valid form of ID - https://www.mba.com/exams/gmat-focus-ed ... quirements

You can confirm this on mba.com - but if you register for the exam, GMAC will send you an email with all you need to know/prepare with closer to the date of the test

Welcome to GMAT Club. OG only contains questions. It does not contain helpful theory or strategies how to solve questions or really anything else besides very valuable questions so you need the official guide but you also need Manhattan books or something in addition to the OG.

In terms of books, Manhattan is the gold standard, the other option would be Kaplan or Veritas prep guides which are out of printed this point. There are also a number of similarly priced online courses, depending on what format works best for you.

I feel like mgmat and OG books serve completely different purposes. Mgmat is the knowledge-base. It introduces most of the concepts you need to learn at least at a basic level. OG books are mostly a list of questions. You will not pick up a lot of knowledge from there. Both books work very well together imo. Or you can get mgmat and then get the OG question bank online. Once you are past mgmat, especially for quant, I recommend coming back to gmatclub because there are some fantastic topic-by-topic threads here. That’s where you’ll learn those Q45+ tips and tricks.

If by DI you mean IR questions within the DI section, then you can check out the MGMAT IR book, or else you can learn by solving questions ( That’s what I did, but I don’t think this is a very efficient method :angel: )

Hi, can you answer the following questions??

i) How much time have you allocated to the GMAT? I mean, are you completely new?
ii) Are you looking for a self-study or structured single-window learning method?

I've been doing intermittent self-study for a few years now. I recently made the transition to #Target Test Prep in July 2023 per a recommendation of my two former L&T coworkers who are currently enrolled in IIM A and L. Because of its focused on target analytics and structured study module, TTP is the best I have encountered thus far. e-gmat is good, however it may be rather tiring (my personal experience is bad though). As an Indian, you may be concerned about the cost of the course module, but trust me—the goals you have set for yourself are worthwhile.

For the start, you can check the OGs and get accustomed to the areas that GMAT tests on.

I am based out in Kolkata/Vadodara. You can dm me if you like

Yes I was having issues too. The login link changed and now it redirects you to some a uworld site. Go to https://login.admission-tests.wiley.com/wel/login and login from there. If you’re still having issues (it keeps logging you back out), you need to clear your cache or just use an incognito tab

I think wiley was purchased by uworld or something like that, that’s why they changed everything
