Hi
MG49,
I gave the Classic version last year and am now preparing for the Focus Edition.
Quant and Verbal are more or less the same, with the exception of Geometry and Sentence Correction being dropped altogether, and Data Sufficiency being combined with IR to form Data Insights. Also, the duration of each section and the number of questions have changed. Since DI is a newly counted score-affecting section, I'd focus on understanding it better first.
Timing across Verbal and DI is another area of interest. With SC gone and the time per question remaining the same, it's pretty easy to run out of time in Verbal. IR has historically been time-consuming.
Data Sufficiency now involves less pure math and more real-world scenario-based math. IR has graphs on steroids.

Hi, I started my GMAT prep a month back. However, due to work, haven’t been able to spend a lot of time on the preparation. Earlier I was planning to give classic but due to paucity of time, I will have to take the focus edition. Can somebody suggest a strategy for the shift? Moreover, considering there is not a lot of material like mocks and DI question bank available, how is everyone planning to approach the exam?
