I use the question bundle from MBA.com. I worked through the All the GMAT strategy guides from Manhattan and learned their strategies for the specific question types. But the answer analysis from MBA.com categorizes them different.
got it… to be very frank, the official question categories are very broad and probably not built for a test taker but rather for a reporting an analysis of psychometric tools… but you’re not alone in that and also categories tend to differ in different sources. Meaning there are different sets of classification categories in
the official guide and in the advanced question guide for example. Which is not helpful for you.
Manhattan has a conversion table but only for
the official guide.
One option is you can try to convert them yourself. You can also look them up on GMAT Club and see how we categorize the questions if we have them. Usually they’re pretty well and consistently categorized across the board. We haven’t had complaints in at least five years 😂 but complaints are always welcome!
I can’t think of a better or easier way unfortunately. 😖
