While considering the LCD let’s take 6 = 2*3, 10=2*5, 18= 2*3^2, 21=7*3 So, let’s consider all the unique factors with the highest expotentional powers i.e. 2*5*3^2*7=630.

Without a doubt, one of America’s greatest science-fiction writers is Kurt Vonnegut, who has written dozens of stories and novels, including the masterpiece Slaughterhouse Five. Yet for decades, Vonnegut denied that what he was writing was science fiction. Today, however, Vonnegut embraces his rightful place as a master of the genre.

All of the following, if true, are helpful in accounting for the phenomenon described in this passage EXCEPT -

A. early in Vonnegut’s career, science fiction was largely considered by critics to be an inferior genre.
B. Vonnegut did not want to be pigeonholed as a science-fiction writer.
C. as a young author, Vonnegut’s favorite writers were all science-fiction writers.
D. science fiction has become a legitimate literary genre.
E. science fiction has become an increasingly popular genre (for readers and writers alike) because of the increased importance of science and technology in our lives.

I think, i would go with C

As a young author, Vonnegut’s favorite writers were all science-fiction writers.

Despite coming from a humble background, John managed to get into world’s 4 prestigious MBA programs - Stanford GSB, Wharton, Kellogg, and Chicago Booth. At the very early of admissions process, he had realized that getting into business schools is not about presenting a polished story but it is about emphasising your FIT to the program. He focused on his strengths, special qualities within him, and the uniqueness of his story and made sure all the special characteristics of himself were reflected in his story.

I'm a fifth-year student, 21 years old, currently pursuing an M.Sc in Economics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP), ranked 6th in India. I've taken several finance-related courses in my economics studies and am considering applying to MSF programs in the United States.

My GRE score is 316 (150V, 166Q, AWA-3.5), and my TOEFL score is 93. My GPA is 3.5/4.0 (8.2/10.0 on an Indian scale), and my secondary education score was 99.2%. I completed a two-month summer internship in a small financial services company, worked on some finance projects, and earned online certifications. Currently, I'm working on my final-year thesis on finance under the supervision of the Finance Department Head at IIT KGP.

I applied to MS finance programs at Texas Austin, Vanderbilt, Boston College, and Notre Dame but received rejections. I'm uncertain about the reasons but I suspect I may have overestimated my qualifications, and I'm feeling quite helpless now with only two decisions left, one from USC Marshall and the other from Northeastern. Given my stats and previous rejections, I'm also worried about my chances at these schools.

I would appreciate any assistance in identifying universities where I might have a 100% chance of acceptance. Some schools on my list include (Ohio, Wisconsin, Fordham, ASU, Brandeis, Tulane, Villanova, and Babson. I'm also unsure if I stand a chance at these institutions). Can someone please help me?

You are getting rejected because of a an incredibly weak verbal, AWA + weak TOEFL. Not sure where you can get in but that’s what you need to fix.

The ideal score for the TOEFL should be atleast 100 and above to get into a good B-school. Right?

It depends. 100+ is usually decent enough but differs school by school. HBS for example doesnt entertain anyone below 109

Hi all, I recently purchased the GMAT Official Guide: ebook and online question bank for the focus edition. However, I only got access codes for the ebook and not the online question bank. I’ve been trying to get in touch with customer support for weeks now but their phone number shows up as invalid and their online customer support team is not able to understand the issue (which is incredibly ridiculous as it’s quite simple). What can I do?

Oh.. hmmm ok. That’s weird. If you got those access codes for the other books but not the official guide.

And if you visit this page: https://www.mba.com/my-account the Official Guide does not show up here?

I have a physical book with an activation code that I’m happy to give you. I’m not using it but this is pretty messed up…

kind of unfortunate and sad

You bought the book from the creators of the test…
