I wrote the classic version in January. With my experience, I can tell you that practicing ques from the club would give you a mindset to attempt hard difficulty level ques. Ques could not be the same but it almost replicates the same.
In terms of difficulty, how many 655-705 and 705+ questions did you face? Clearly if we compare real exam with gmat club questions.

I cannot comment in terms of difficulty that how many hard or medium difficulty level questions I faced. The only thing that I remember is that time management was a great issue during my test. I was not even able to finish the quant section on time and was left with eight questions and the test had thrown me towards the next section. This affected my performance in the next section too. And my overall performance was also not so good so I had to cancel my score. I was totally disheartened and now I am prepping for the second attempt.

The real test was really very hard and practicing especially hard difficulty level and medium difficulty level ques from the club will give you a kind of mindset to ace this test which I hadn’t done during my first attempt.

Nope. I only relied on Target Test Prep and Official Guides.

Oh. Explains a lot. I faced similar issue - relied too much on these both resources and failed the mock exam. Now I’m getting through gmat club questions, veritas.

Yeah, seems like we both are on the same boat. So, have you done with test or planning to take it in the future?

The next three months I’ll be getting through hard questions only. Both gmat club and official mocks. After veritas and Manhattan questions it’s getting easier.

I would suggest stict to the official material. Try sloving as many ques as you can using the practice ques bank on the club by applying relevant filters. I have also experienced the club ques as hard but keep practicing eventually you may gain confidence. Does it make sense?

See this one - I put this a while ago (before GMAT FOcus) but I think it is still relevant. People still get freaked out on the test day, so 🤷‍♂️ what-to-do-30-14-7-3-1-days-before-the-test-152506.html

Sometimes. Like for example on TTP, I’m pretty good with easy and medium questions, but when I get to the hard questions I struggle mightily. I also bought the official material with all thew practice questions and answers, but the explanations aren’t that easy to understand in my opinion

When you are in the learning phase its a natural phenomenon that you may take some to acquire accracy in the hard level ques. Don’t worry while practicing ques you will gradually get the hang of those hard ques and eventually you will get better. Official guide ques are the gold mine but for explanations you need to refer to the Gmat club where you will find plenty of great explanations posted by the experts.

Good luck with you prep!
