The practice exams are completely, fully and entirely independent from the official guide. There is no connection. Do I know exams in the official guide. The official guide does not impact any exams. Just use the old one that you have.

I took my GMAT without even having the official guide. I don’t recommend it but this is not what determines success. It’s your effort that influences the success.

so that’s the reason I have still access to the practice tests although my 1-year access to the online books has expired?
I was worried and anxious about all these stuff because I have some deadlines to meet. And I wanted to clarify if there are adequate new questions in this year’s bundle so as not to be waste of money the purchase
similarly for the practice tests (free and paid)

of course our effort and the time we invest are major factors!! I took it for granted that’s why I focused on the material
