Eeek. That would have been 82 or 84 if you did not miss that one 😭

Sorry. Really annoying :(

manhattan prep recommends 4 question intervals for DI and Quants.. either one is fine..

https://www.kaptest.com/study/gmat/time ... ment/#time

both works well for me in quant.. if u want to be stricter use 4 questions interval.

and develop a sense of 2 mins time lapse..

Yes, turning off the timer (if that is what you are talking about NooNYuki, worked well for me)

the fact that there is no individual timer for each question and the timer goes from 45 min to 0 was so annoying

read the two links above well.. and just like bb said, u just need to check the clock 4 times to adjust ur pacing.

watching the clock ticking down can really work on ur nerves if u dont learn to ignore it

I peeked at the timer only 4 times I think and that was back when the test had 37 questions and was 75 mins long so it is possible to use various intervals - anything from 4 to 9 questions per interval (I have learned that strategy from Kaplan) but the value of it is that it gets that clock and associated stress out of your face.

I was in a rush to get the score in order to apply for a PhD but I missed it this year as my overall score is only 525 and the deadline for most of the remaining universities for fall this year is in one weak. what do you recommend to do in the future, and when should I retake the test

i was in a similar situation back in Nov.. i decided not to apply for summer intake and deferred to fall.. bcos i wasn’t confident i’d get my target score.. instead i focused to finish the course (i was taking ttp) and then even tmr test was a bit rushed in registering.. i was taking mock tests one or two days in-between since 31st dec..

Take some rest so you don’t burn yourself out if you have been testing so heavily. You want to be rested (though not rusty), so train hard, but then take a break.

Hi everyone,

I’m an international student from India with a background in software development engineering (SDE). I’ve been admitted to the MBA programs at both George Washington University (GWU) and the University at Buffalo (UB). Additionally, I’m on the waitlist for the University of Rochester’s MBA program. My goal is to transition into a managerial role in the tech industry, preferably in the U.S.

I’ve done some basic research and have a general understanding of the key differences between these programs, but I want to make a well-informed decision based on feedback from the community. Specifically, I would love advice on what factors I should consider before making my choice.
1. What key differences in placements, alumni networks, and industry connections should I be aware of?
2. Are there advantages to one program over the other for an international student aiming to enter the tech industry?
3. What other factors should I weigh (e.g., ROI, curriculum focus, location, or cost of living)?

If you’ve attended any of these schools or know about these programs, I’d really appreciate your insights.

Thanks for your help!
