Hii, I just started my GMAT preparation 2 weeks ago, I bought GMAT official guide and review guide. I am starting from Quant, haven’t taken any tests yet, Will take it this Saturday.

Can someone guide me like what I need to do, as I have found that GMAT is now GMAT focus edition

@Lazybug11, Get a high level overview of syllabus. For Quant best resources are GMAT Ninja playlists, Target test prep(see if you can make use of free one week trial and take 1 month plan if affordable). Target test prep is very elaborate and make sure that you are not getting stuck with one/few topics. Try to make progress and track your progress.

Hi Lazybug11 Usually the official guide is not enough for your prep to be effective. As you probably have noticed, the official guide contains really just questions and then a very sparse review section that will probably leave more questions than provide answers.

You can hack math on your own but this really becomes evident in verbal that you need strategies for answering questions approaching different types of questions and for timing, so I would recommend getting the Manhattan books in addition to the official guide. The guide gives you the questions but the Manhattan prep books or a course can give you actually answers and will reduce frustration, and provide you with a much higher score at the end compared to using just the official guide.

Hi, I have done OG Quant review 203Q’s
1 incorrect in easy, 2 in medium and 12 in hard

5 number properties (applied problems)
3 permutation-probability concepts
2 percentage applied problems (calculation mistake)
2 mis read (applied problem)
1 inequalities
1 Ratio

I know it does clarifies that I am weak in “Applied problems” majorly in Number properties/ factors, PnC”
But just wanna take expert opinion on way forward.

Yo all,
I just started prep last week, I am about to write the exam coming Tuesday.
I do GMAT in the DQV order, but when I go to Verbal section I am barely left with attention span and slip through paragraphs midway in mock tests.
I know practicing reading is the main factor, but do y’all have any advise for the energy boost or mind refresher post Quant?
I am decent with numbers but lack attention span when I read strongly worded paragraphs that’s why I switched from VQD to DQV as the total seems to come higher.

Hi All,

I attempted the official mock 1 on mba.com website by GMAC a week ago. I wanted to analyse but since last two days I am not able to access any mock. Is anybody else facing the same issue ?

This is unusual. You should be able to pull up your tests... are you getting an error message on the nba.com or anything like that?

they don’t offer any fancy analytics but you can pull up the questions you got wrong and you can probably search for them to an estimate their difficulty level and topic if you want to keep track of your mistakes or you can even print them out in case you want to use them as reminders for improvement

Go with egmat(self paced)

They teach from every bit to bit, and if you are already good then go with solving practice question more according to 600+ practice question in each section

With 15 for each sectional mock test
And 5 full length mock test.

+
Ai study planner very beneficial
Very good mentor support even when it is self paced course
And live weekly interaction class

Only thing is if you are too good dam in gmat then just go with 1 month self paced course

But if you are average then go with 4 month one

But if you are week then go with 6 month self paced course because, I was like I can do it in four month but I’m about to extend my course so that why this opinion but will be helpful to you if you think so

And they also offer discount after a consulting over the video call I got like 4 month self paced course of 299 $

I’m a current egmat student and this is my personal experience and the customer support is really good

Get a trial of both the courses and decide yourself. Simple.

PS: You can read the reviews here:

Good luck!
