Hi All,
Need some guidance from past students and experts.
I’ve been prepping for GMAT after taking off from full time role. Started studying in Mid-June and wrote first attempt in Late-September, scored 625. Prepped again for 1.5 months and wrote another attempt in November, this time I did focus on a lot of OG questions, started writing Official GMAT mocks getting 615-655 range. I practiced time management and skipping questions well this time. Still ended up with 565, worst performance of all time. So effectively I stand with 625 score(the previous one).
I cant continue study full time now so starting to look for a role, I’m conflicted with current options and really need some suggestions from those who experienced similar situations.
Option 1, I apply and settle with Master’s Union- MBA in Business and Tech , their program starts in June, 16 months thereafter. Decent placement reports, fee little lower than ISB, and I think I’ll get through.
Option 2, I write more attempt in next 4-5 months alongside job and apply for Colleges like INSEAD Jan intake or the likes. Their program effectively end up around same time like Master’s Union because the duration is about a year starting Jan’2027.
My current reasons for MBA:
I want a platform to launch myself in spaces like Management Consulting or VC, high paying roles as well as a strong pre-entrepreneurial phase for those aiming to start up. I want to eventually remain close to startup space and would end up starting my own venture. I want the MBA to help me build the basic safety net to increase my risk appetite for business later on while improving my strategic skills and improving access to capital via networks built. I see my self working post MBA for about 5 years.
My profile: 10th- 68%, 12th- 94.5%, Grad- 56%(commerce), Experience- about 8 years, Mostly with startup in Edtech, Healthtech Space. Recent most stint- Founding member at a healthtech startup(full stack primary care services), India.
There could be more options maybe my myopic self cant see presently, would appreciate any guidance.
