# Newbie with 680(49Q,33V) --need advice to take verbal to 40+

hello everybody,

Got a bad verbal(33V, 49Q: 680) and am retaking GMAT in 30 days.
Am a working professional mainly applying for EMBA.
Have about 30-60 minutes per day for preparation.

Sharp enough to speed up( but somehow dinged in the exam).

Will not have time to do all books, all 1000 series etc, but want to nail the basics stronger and my conservative goal is to retain the quant(49) while taking verbal to 40+.

Practice on gmatter : http://www.gmatter.biz. Which is a gmat like simulation and contains all the SC1000, CR1000 etc.
