Hello Willie and welcome to the GMAT Club.

Two small things:
1. Nobody names their child Willie and nobody calls themselves Willie. That’s another word for a male body part.
2. Your IP is based in Pakistan

So Mr male body part from Pakistan, I have closed your account for you.

Welcome! Finally a real person. Looks like your main focus will be verbal. It is hard but it is doable! Look at the GMAT study plans to get an idea of what to use and how long to study for and common pitfalls.

Thanks,
BB.

Hi there.

I just took the practice GMAT test and...I scored abysmally. The truth is I never practiced nor studied for this test before so this was all brand new to me. I think my score was a 400 (I can't access the MBA site as its down).

I'm interested in going to grad school for a part time online MBA program. I'm not looking to get into an ultra competitive school...just something that is reputable, accredited, and available to fit into my schedule. However, I know it takes a strong GMAT score to qualify to get into a good program. Fortunately I have 10+ years working experience, an undergraduate degree, and I was previously accepted into a masters program years ago (had to bow out due to a family emergency). I think I have the drive and passion to want to get into and complete a MBA program, but it's the darn GMAT that's going to be my Achilles heel I know it.

Anyhoo I hope to improve and do well on the GMAT once I take it later this year.

Need to grind out some practice hours and you'll start feeling confident soon enough. Look around this forum - there are a lot of great resources to help you begin.

As suggested by BB, look at some verbal study plans. I would also recommend practising the questions available on the forum (sub 600s and 600-700s) to get an idea of areas where your performance is weaker. Good luck!
