NO SCHOOL SELECTION DURING GMAT  [#permalink]

Hi,

I had my GMAT on the 9th of this month. I ended up scoring a 710 (thanks to GMATCLUB and egmat).

I had researched here on the forum regarding not sending my scores to colleges and found that it should be fine apart from the $29 that will be charged per school if I choose to do so later on.

But just now I heard that this "shows under-confidence and while shortlisting your profile it reflects against you"

Can someone please tell me if this is true?

I've never heard of this, where did you hear this from? How will a school know if you sent them a score at the GMAT appointment or paid money to send it later?

You can definitely ignore what you heard and move ahead. There are numerous good schools of which you can choose only only five. So if you apply to more schools any way you will have to send scores separately.

The $29 is the only thing you lose.

Wow. That is completely untrue and absurd enough to be bordering on silly. As the others have pointed out above, just move on and don't give this another thought.
