How to handle questions with finding number of ways to form a 4 digit code with:

A) non increasing digits
B) non decreasing digits

I believe combinatorics is not tested on the GMAT. That said, did you come across any such question in the official guides, GMAT Prep, or question banks of any leading test prep company?

Hi saukrit,

You could potentially see a question (or multiple questions) on Test Day that asks how many ways you can 'arrange' items or 'group' items (so a question that asks for the number of possible 'codes' could certainly occur). That having been said, there are lots of questions that fit that general description in the Quant forums, so you might try searching there. Beyond that, do you have any specific examples of these types of prompts that you'd like to know more about?
