usually the Quant score is more important in the admissions, so getting a Q50 or Q49 is helpful. Not getting a very high Verbal score would be understandable by the adcoms if you are an international student.

However, GMAT rewards balanced scores, so you definitely want to pull up verbal as well.

Basically for a top school, you want a Q at 49 and Verbal as high as possible.

One more question.. is there a table on this blog, where I can see/assume what certain scores in Quant and Verbal lead to the final gmat score ? like i.e. Q49 and V36 = 700
