Dear Friend
I can understand your problem. Actually, sometimes we feel that the number system is one of the easiest topics in quant preparation as we do not have any perplexing formulas or rules which need to be learned. But on the other hand, it is the most difficult topics at times as we end up getting caught in the traps of the problem.
To overcome the problem, we need to always remember to read the problem carefully and
take in only the information given in the question stem.
1) Remember that number doesn't mean to be an integer, it can be any real number.
2) Don't forget to include the ZERO in non-negative and non-positive numbers.
3) Don't forget to include the fractions, negative numbers as per the question requirements.
4) Always remember that the \(\sqrt{x}\) always gives a unique positive solution, whereas if x^(1/2) gives two answers: negative & positive.
5) Always remember that 2 is the only even prime number and it is the smallest prime number.
6) 1 is a factor of every integer and multiple of itself.
7) zero is not a factor of any number, not even itself. In fact, the factor is defined only for non zero integers.
8)
ALWAYS MAINTAIN AN ERROR LOG AND AVOID THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN.HAPPY LEARNING !!!

Hi All,
I am struggling with quant score and trying each section (Geomatry,Algebra ...) separately to get better understanding of concepts and this strategy is helping me a lot in almost all section except Number properties

.
Please share any tips and suggestion to improve accuracy in NP .
Thanks in Advance:-)
