Hi I just scored 680 in gmat and aiming for oxford ... is it achievable
I have a 660 and got into LBS...
We have a client with 630 who got into Oxford last year...
the GMAT is "just" 30% of your profile... what about the rest?
Send me your CV, school wish list and GMAT split to shimriw@ARINGO.com and I will try to comment further about your profile

gmatlover1010
I’ve got a GMAT 660, an Indian Engineering degree from NIT, joined out of campus in one of the best management consulting firms of 2021 (as per Forbes) as a Data Analyst, promoted before two years to Assoc Consultant. Average performance in university.
I think you forgot to ask a question...?

Google says 690 is cut off for oxford so with 680 what all colleges in Europe/UK do you think I should target

I’m sorry, I hit enter :D I’ve got a GMAT 660, an Indian Engineering degree from NIT, joined out of campus in one of the best management consulting firms of 2021 (as per Forbes) as a Data Analyst, promoted before two years to Assoc Consultant. Average performance in university. I’ve only got about 2 and a half years of experience and I intend to rejoin consulting. Do you think MiM more appropriate? And if not, is an MBA from A world top 50 Bschool possible for my candidature? or should I work on my GMAT further?

Google who?
you are mistaken. Oxford’s average GMAT is 680-690 (depends which year). which means they have candidates with 740 and candidates with 640...
Where should you apply to? as I said, I know nothing about you. if your profile is above average, then you can apply to all MBA programs, been with higher average GMATs, but if you come from an over-populated background, and your profile is mediocre, you need to apply to programs where your GMAT is 30-40 points above average. hope this makes sense?
and say hello to Google from me?

Frankly, you are too experienced for a MIM and your GMAT / background is probably not enough to make it into a top 30 school. top 50? maybe... but why don’t you work on your GMAT, add one more year of experience, and apply next year to some GREAT universities?
happy to help then (keep my email: shimriw@ARINGO.com) but, if I were you. I would spend more time on the GMAT / GRE...

I am a male electrical engineer with 13 years experience from a MNC working as a senior manager. My engineering college is a mediocre one. I really aspire to join Oxford and switch to consulting career ... does 680 give me a hope to do so

Again, I don’t know enough about you. you are definitely IN THE GAME... but if you are an Indian male engineer with a mediocre GPA and undergrad college, 13 years of experience, and a 680, I agree, your chances are not high...
On the other hand, if you worked abroad, managed a lot of people, was fast-tracked at work, a number of times, have unique extra-curricular activities, perhaps...

Where do you have higher chances? Wawrick / Manchester/ city / Imperal / IE / ESAE / RSM ...

I don’t have enough info on you, but generally speaking, Warwick and Manchester are easier than Imperial and City which are easier than IE ESADE and RSM...
