B. You spoted the first part but missed the second part, "and made it.......", that is fixed by/in B.

I'll go with D

Every other choice has a modifier issue. The word immediately after comma must be a modifier. Since the subject in the first sentence is 'drama', the drama's name should come immediately after comma

A,B,C can be eliminated. D and E remain

E has 'it' and there is no clear referent. Is it referring to drama or the award???

Is it E ? Its the modifier problem."A raisin in the Sun" is rightly modified by "the first successful drama" in first clause

Clear D. The choice is between D and E. But, in E, "later made it" has wrong usage.
